As late summer turns into fall, Northern Sonoma County shifts into high gear. The last of the tomatoes give way to hard squashes...stone fruit and berries move out and local apples (for Jeff's Mom's AppleJack Apple Pie) and pears move in. Mushroom foragers get ready to hunt local chanterelles, porcini, and morels. The Tuesday Night Blue Plate is Jeff's Maple Roast Turkey with Drunken Cranberry Sauce, Sage Sausage Stuffing, and Mashed Potatoes with Gravy.

The cold and rainy winters of Healdsburg doesn't slow down the hard working kitchen of ZIN. Hearty, slow cooked dishes are showcased; such as Slow Braised California Lamb Shank with White Beans and Bacon, and ZIN's signature dish of Coq au Zin - Chicken braised in Zinfandel with Applewood Smoked Bacon, Pearl Onions and Mushrooms over Celery Root Mashed Potatoes. Also look for Chicken Pot Pie at lunchtime. The Sunday Night Blue Plate is Spicy Meatloaf with Wild Mushroom Zin Gravy, Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Fresh Peas and Carrots.
